To protect the health of our trout and preserve the quality of fishing for future guests, we practise catch-and-release fishing across our waters.

We kindly ask all anglers to follow these guidelines:

• All trout must be released unless prior permission has been given to keep a fish.

• Please use barbless hooks or hooks with the barb flattened to minimise injury.

• Handle fish as little as possible and always with wet hands.

• Wherever possible, keep the trout in the water while removing the hook.

• If using a landing net, please use a fish-friendly rubber or knotless net.

• Do not place trout on dry grass, rocks, soil or other rough surfaces.

• If taking a photograph, have your camera ready beforehand and keep the fish out of the water for only a few seconds.

• Never hold a trout by its gills or squeeze its body.

• Allow the fish time to recover in the water before gently releasing it.

• Please do not continue fishing for trout that appear stressed during particularly warm weather or low-water conditions.

Our trout and waterways form an important part of the farm, and responsible fishing helps us keep them healthy, beautiful and enjoyable for everyone.
